What SessionSeal does

SessionSeal is a Chrome extension that saves and restores your browser windows, tabs, and tab groups on your device.

Data we store on your device

- Tab URLs and titles you choose to save (or that autosave captures)
- Tab group names, colors, and collapsed state
- Window layout metadata needed for restore
- Extension settings and (if you activate Pro) a license key and status
- Integrity checksums and rotating local backup copies of the above

This data is stored using Chrome’s extension storage APIs on your computer. It is not uploaded for core save, restore, autosave, export, or import features.

Data we do not collect

- We do not run analytics or advertising SDKs
- We do not sell or rent your data
- We do not read page content beyond what the Chrome tabs/tabGroups APIs expose for saving sessions
- We do not operate in Incognito by default

Optional Pro license verification

If you paste a Pro license key, SessionSeal may send only that license key string to https://api.sessionseal.app to confirm it is valid. Tab URLs, titles, and session payloads are never included in that request.

Exports you create

If you export JSON or HTML, those files are written under your control (for example via a download you initiate). You decide where they are stored or shared.

Retention and deletion

You can delete individual sessions or remove the extension. Uninstalling SessionSeal removes its extension storage from that Chrome profile.

Children’s privacy

SessionSeal is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

We may update this policy; the “Last updated” date will change. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
